Vera Passos Artist Residency 9/25-9/27:

Vera will be in Seattle for workshops from September 25-27. All workshops are at Balance Studio in Fremont, 418 N 35th St 

SCHEDULE: 
Friday 9/25:
6pm: Silvestre Technique
7:45pm: Symbology of the Orixás with live drumming

Saturday 9/26:
1:30pm: Symbology of the Orixás with live drumming
3:15pm: Samba de Roda (please bring a long skirt)
5-6pm: Community discussion with Vera: Afro-Brazilian dance and Casa SoMovimento (Vera’s Center in Brazil). Bring your questions, your curiosity, and feel free to bring a snack to share!
NOTE: Donations for Vera will be accepted at this informational/social session. Thank you!

Sunday 9/27:
12-2pm: Benin to Brazil with Vera Passos followed by live interactive performance (2-3pm). Participating in the performance is optional. Feel free to just watch!
