NORTHWEST FOLKLIFE FESTIVAL

Join VamoLá for the finale of the Brazilian Showcase of the NW Folklife Festival 2008. The Showcase begins at 6:45 with an opening parade to the stage by Samba Ja (from Eugene, Oregon) and closes with a finale by VamoLá that starts at 9:20pm. In between, you'll see other outstanding Brazilian music and dance groups - plenty of samba, samba-reggae, maracatu, and more for everyone!

Join us for the Grand Opening Day of Lake Forest Park Farmers Market! At 2:00pm, VamoLá will lead a parade through the Children's Fair area, with kids joining in (they'll be making headdresses at the fair to wear in the parade), and then we'll rock the stage with samba and samba reggae. The Farmers Market runs from 11:00am to 4:00pm, including a 1:00pm performance by the band Zazou , a Children's Fair with ongoing activities, and, best of all, a spectacular display of fresh produce and flowers from local farmers. VamoLá is honored to parade once again, with Pride! Come and cheer us on and dance with us in this exuberant affirmation of the LGBT community and friends. The parade starts at Union St. and 4th Ave., continuing along 4th Ave. to Denny Way just outside Seattle Center, where the Pride Festival is in full swing until 9:00pm.
